Setting Up Recycled Parts Rules

The Recycled Parts Services feature allows you to set up the defaults for the program to use when processing Recycled parts. You may not have access to all of the fields depending on your security level.

Options include setting up the automatic display for older vehicles, a default parts markup, recycled part terminology, and auto-listing for part groups. If you accessed this screen through the workfile, and not through the profile, you can view the data, but you cannot change it.

To set up Recycled Parts rules

Select Configure > Profiles from the menu bar.
Select the profile, and then select Edit from the mini-toolbar.
Select the Alternate Parts link under Estimating > Rules.
Select Recycled from the Part Type droplist.
Enter the year value in the Automatically Display for Vehicles that are __ Years(s) or Older field.
Enter the percentage value in the Default Mark-up __ % field.
Select a value from the Terminology droplist (e.g., LKQ, RCY, or USED).
Click on a part group under the Groups section, and then select which parts in the group under Parts included in Auto-listing.
Select Save or Save and Close from the toolbar.
